Price Challenge: Samsung Omnia W I8350

Hi Guys.

Now that in the last 2 blogs, we were checking the prices of Nokia Lumia, another mobile phone that caught my attention was Samsung Omnia W I8350.

But before we discuss about that phone, I want to talk about the growth of Samsung phones over Nokia phones.

Though Nokia remains the market leader in India with a 39 per cent share, its dominance is quite evidently under pressure. According to industry sources, Nokia's market share was 37.5 per cent in January-July 2011. Its market share stood at 49.3 per cent in 2010. Samsung's market share, on the other hand, has increased to 28 per cent in first seven months. In 2010, Samsung's had a market share of 20.1 per cent. In terms of monthly shipment also, Samsung has grown its base at a much faster pace than others. The growth can be largely attributed to the impressive and diverse portfolio of handsets right from entry-level to the high-end segment. The ‘Wave’ series and the ‘Galaxy S’ series has been a great success for Samsung. Samsung continues to launch new product lines at regular intervals across all segment and on all operating systems such as Android, Windows and Bada. Samsung is also doing well at the tablets front and can be considered as the only worthy rival for the Apple juggernaut!

Price Challenge: Nokia Lumia 800

Hi guys.

For those who were still in a hangover state after the new year party and did not read my yesterday’s blog, I wish you all, a very Happy new year.

For some (in fact many), 31 Dec of a year means a day of partying and hanging around and going around in pubs or restaurants and getting wasted after some drinks and alcohol.

For me, somehow, it has always been just another day and just another evening. I always spend that evening at my house with my family and always want it to remain same. Many of my friends do have some very good things to say when they hear this, but at the end, they know who I am and that’s y they are there – my friends.

Coming back to our blog for today, I wanted to continue the review on the Nokia Lumia phone but with a different variant of the same, NOKIA LUMIA 800.

I thought that may be it is good to review and look at these 2 phones together, since more or less the specs and the features are same. If you would think of Nokia Lumia 710, you definitely would like to take a look at the brother 800 as well.

Price Challenge: Nokia Lumia 710

Believe me, its a challenge in itself, besides finding the sabsecheapest price for a product online, to think and find a product for review on the first day of the year.

First of all, I wish everyone a very Happy and prosperous New Year 2012 and wish success for all of you guys. I wish you guys keep following our blog and keep finding the best and definitely the sabsecheapest price for your desirable goods online.
As i said before, at the start of the blog, it was not at all easy to pick a product, for review on the very first day of the year. I have been thinking for the last 2 days, what should I choose to review and write about. At that moment i had my Nokia E71 in my hands and thought that, i should write about a Nokia phone; a company, which i have used since i began starting using phones. Though for some time, i did have a Siemens phone, but sadly it got lost and i came back to using my new Nokia phone.
For many people, still, the choice range of phones starts and ends with Nokia. It has been called the most user-friendly phone and definitely it has been.
So i picked up a Nokia Lumia 710 today for the Sabsecheapest online Price challenge.

The Lumia 710 runs on the Microsoft Windows Phone Operating System (Mango), a departure from the traditional Symbian OS that has always been associated with Nokia phones. It runs on a Qualcomm MSM8255 Snapdragon chipset and a 1.4GHz Scorpion CPU. For graphics, the phone is installed with an Adreno 205 GPU. The phone comes with a 5MP 2592×1944 pixel camera with autofocus and LED flash. Its features include geo tagging and face detection. Video recording of quality 720 pixel and at rate 30fps can be done using this phone. However, video chat is not possible due to its lack of a secondary camera.

Price Challenge: Dell Streak

Considering the fact that I am reviewing and helping everyone find the sabsecheapest price of the Dell Smart phones these days, I won’t let this chance pass by without talking about my life at Dell or if I may passionately call it PerotSystems (though formerly). Initial days at PerotSystems, like any other Software Services company, were like a Honeymoon period or if I can say as, an extension of the college days. Sessions were missed, morning movie shows, Tennis, AOE and CS all through the day and till the wee hours, planning of the outstation trips and definitely the GYAAN from the Academy guys of how important these training sessions are and how much harm and damage, this inconsiderate behavior of ours can do to our career; this pretty much summed up the first 6 months at the company. More of this, I would be revealing later in the subsequent blogs.

Now that we are emotionally engrossed in this discussion, let’s move over to our business of finding the sabsecheapest price.

For today I have selected another of Dell’s smartphone and the last in my Dell series (for now, wish more to come), Dell Streak.

Dell Streak is a device whose 5-inch display makes it either a very large smartphone or a very small tablet computer. The centerpiece of the Dell Streak is its 5-inch, 800 x 480 pixel (WVGA) capacitive touchscreen. Previously known as Mini 5, it uses the Android 1.6 and comes with two cameras, a 5MP one with dual-LED flash on the back and a VGA one on the front for video calling. It has 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 512 MB SDRAM, GPS and Wi-Fi.
