Dell Venue Pro

I continue to work in Dell and so these Dell Phones continue to remain my favorites and thus continues the review of these Dell Smart phones and the search for the sabsecheapest price. 

Talking about Dell, the first thing that comes to my mind is PerotSystems, which was actually the company I worked for. Dell thought of entering into the technology services industry (considering the saturation in the hardware industry and also taking cue from HP foraying into the services business) and thus happened the buyout of PerotSystems by Dell Inc. 

Getting back to the business of hunting down the sabsecheapest price, I took up today another of the Dells Smart phones series – Dell Venue Pro

Before I start discussing the phone specifics and start digging into the technical stuff, I want to make an honest confession. Among all the queries, reviews and price discount questions I have been getting, being a Dell employee, maximum have been targeted at Dell Venue Pro.

This phone features a 4.1” AMOLED touchscreen, 1GHz QSD8250 Snapdragon processor, 5-megapixel auto-focus camera, 8GB internal storage, 512MB RAM, 1GB ROM, GPS, FM Radio and full Flash support including playback.

With its angular cutouts, chrome trim plated sides, and sturdy pattered plastic rear casing, everything about the Dell Venue is characteristically appealing to look at and hold. Even though it’s not the slimmest (0.51” thick) or most compact (5.78 oz) thing we've seen, it’s nevertheless able to capture my attention with its refined design elements.

Today I was happy, reason I met one of my friend from old company. So, somehow topic of online shopping comes up and it becomes interesting. My friend told me he used to consider Flipkart.com the cheapest and after going through my blog his mindset changed. Infact we have the same frame of mind before we started writing the blog. Flipkart no doubt has excellent customer service and they charge a premium for it. So, coming to the point, he actually bought Steve Jobs Biography from Indiaplaza.com at 326 INR more than 400 INR less than MRP after referring from this blog. I have been pretty much busy at my office nowdays and hence didn't get enough time to update the blog yesterday. Also, I was bit disappointed by Google disabling our Ad sense account which has been our fruit of effort we have been putting in past few days. but, nevertheless our focus was not to make money but to offer you guys the cheapest deals among all the available sources.

Sorry this week I am pretty much busy with my Friend's engagement and Marriage. Met lot of new people from journalist to banker to people of my tribe "IT people" (we are everywhere !!!). Price Challenge: Samsung Galaxy Tab 750

Sorry, yesterday I didn't updated the blog . I was busy with my friend's engagement. Professional profiles of my friends present in the engagement is so good that they can collectively make or break up any business plan or idea right in few minutes. I was telling them about this new blog and interestingly I didn't get much negative feedback which is a positive sign will keep me going :)

Today, I am doing price challenge for Samsung Galaxy Tab, it seems I am pretty much fascinated with Samsung as this is my 3 straight price challenge for its products only. But, honestly they have really shaken the market with perfect pricing and real good products. Its a nice tab but definitely iPad 2 is big daddy of all (sorry I am Apple fan boy !!!).

Sometimes, I feel big daddies of online shopping are really making lot of money as other day my friend was telling flipkart.com has evaluation of around 800 million USD (Not official !!) . They offer prices in between what's cheapest and what's costliest in the online gamut and with their excellent delivery/customer care makes all the difference. The detailed analysis on this area may be some other time but for Galaxy Tab 750 I found prices online with variation upto 0-3000 INR. Price Challenge: Samsung Galaxy ACE (S5830)

!! The one who earns know the value of each penny !!

When I woke up today from my evening nap, I thought which product should I choose for the price challenge. So, checked few websites for their hot selling phones and google search trends over past few months. I found people are buying and searching about about lot of Samsung phones. Samsung has really created good brand image for them and last week only they launched Galaxy Note which is hybrid of mobile phone and tab. Will surely do a price challenge for it soon !!! but not today :)

So, I found two samsung phones selling like hot cakes Samsung Galaxy Y and Samsung ACE. I personally like ACE much more because of its look and features offered at the perfect pricing point. From the people using it, I found two issues with it Front Camera missing (No Video Calls !!) and battery hogging (almost all smart phones are so its not ethical to blame it for battery). But still 3G is beyond common man reach so we can forgo video calling for one more year when with WI-MAX and probably 4G we might get much more interesting phones. But, as of now its a nice phone to buy at this price point to have peace of mind for 1 to 2 years for not upgrading the phone.

I am not sure how the websites offering same phone at 14000 INR survives when the same is available around 12500 INR price bracket. May be they make money by gullibility of the consumer and thus losing a future customer altogether.
